My husband and I moved to West Sussex in 2015 and I became a school governor at St Margaret’s in April 2023.  I am now retired but, following a short career in scientific research, enjoyed a long and varied career in local government, involved in adult literacy and training, and supporting county councilors in their role of scrutinising services. In my last two years I indulged a dream by training as a registrar where I recorded births, deaths and conducted weddings.

 

I am passionate about all aspects of education and believe strongly that children should enjoy learning and be helped to reach their full individual potential.  I love to chat to my two granddaughters, both of whom attend St Margaret’s, about what they are studying at school and hear the enthusiasm in their voices when they have learnt something new!

 

I love anything to do with science and nature, reading, walking my dog, tap dancing and spending time with family and friends.
